A new international ratings system that examines restaurants energy, water, waste and overall sustainability has been launched. The method which has been created by the Sustainable Restaurants Association, scores restaurants on a number of things, including energy, water, waste, as well as food sourcing and treatment of staff. A number of the world’s top restaurants have been included in the three star rating systems and the SRA is also working with Virgin Atlantic and Eurostar to improve on board sustainability of meals.
