The US Federal Trade Commission has released its annual report on consumer complaints. For the thirteenth year, the report has shown that identity theft is the top concern for consumers. Of the more than 2 million complaints made by consumers in 2012 over 369,000 related to identity theft, highlighting the importance of data protection for companies and individuals alike.
